It’s a manual Maserati Biturbo! And supposedly owned by a mechanically inclined machinist, for what that’s worth.

Nice! Bodywork looks mint which is a very good point. Looks to have an injected engine which fixed the issues that plagued the earlier carbed ones (but too late to save its reputation).
The 425i should have 188bhp with a cat so it’s not the most powerful biturbo around, but still a significant bump over an E30 325i with a lot more torque.
Fairly easy to bump the power up as well. Later 2.8l cars had intercoolers that would do wonders here. Also, look up the Saab APC system which functions very similarly to the Maserati boost control system for some easy (and free) power gains.

LOL that DS is probably a total disaster, I love it.

The trouble with having too much money to burn is that money burns a lot quicker than you expect...

Yeah those are criminal. Hopefully the paint underneath isn’t ruined... but it probably is. At least it’s practical! Four doors...

i already was that idiot.
but that’s ok.. you’ll get more thumbs up and nods of approval than you will with any mustang or 911 even.
kind of an investment. i had mine 2.5 years. put about 20k miles on her, lots of long trips. spent about 20k in upkeep. sold it for what i paid for it.

want to add...
those seats look like a catcher’s mitt.

Not bad! From what I’ve read, contrary to internet armchair warrior wisdom, upkeep is ok as long as it’s been well maintained beforehand (aka replaced cooling system).

yes, yes they do. with about as much support lol

yes... well... there’s a number of things that can fall apart on a 30 year old car. cooling/fan system is one thing to put on a list.

Yeah 30 year old cars are always interesting, my first car was a 635csi - but everything still worked! Never broke down on me. Except for the ancient rear SLS. That was very kaput. Horrible idea BMW...
